It may seem like a cliché, but it’s true that prevention is better than cure. It’s always been true actually – it’s just that there aren’t too many living examples of this practice in action to validate it in the instant way we tend to seek validation these days. Think about it for a sec…is it not better to avoid having the flu than to have to take a couple of days off work to nurse yourself back to health?…unless of course you hate your job…
The point is when it comes to our health, we tend not to take the prevention-is-better-than-cure notion too seriously. We may all have knowledge of it, but how many of us actually make the effort to put it into practice and incorporate it into our daily lives? One of the areas in which this is evident is with regards to the health of our feet. We hardly ever stop to even think about the health requirements of our feet, but this is largely attributed to the fact that we generally seem to know a little bit about these very important parts of our body. Take the time to learn a bit more about the anatomy of the foot and you’ll realise that perhaps a lot more effort is required to keep your feet healthy. Infographic by Brantano.
